Some scary moments in Pickaway County Tuesday evening. The Franklin County Bomb Squad responded to a call near Winchester Road on a report of a pipe bomb at that location. While no information has been released as the whether or not any sort of device was actually found at there, authorities say there is no longer any danger and issued an all-clear in the area. The investigation into the incident is underway.
Bomb Threat Investigated at Lumi-Light Candle Company
Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says his office dealt with a bomb threat earlier this week. It happened Monday around 1:30 in the afternoon at the Lumi Light Corporation in Norwich. Lutz says his bomb sniffing dogs checked the building and no explosive devices were located. The Franklin County Bomb Squad was also called to the scene.
The building was evacuated and the investigation is ongoing. Sheriff Lutz says his office does have persons of interest at this time. There were no injuries reported. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 452-3637 ext. 6009.
