After review of the charge by the District Attorney’s Office, it was changed to criminal threatening. He is being held on a probation violation. Knox pleaded guilty in March 2018 in Franklin County Superior Court in Farmington to arson and violation of release for a connected case. He was sentenced to serve 20 months of a five-year sentence, followed by four years probation for burning his father’s truck in December 2017. (LEX 18) — Four individuals have been charged in connection to the 2019 shooting death of 73-year-old Ronald Thornton. Samuel Payne, 37 years old of Frankfort, KY, Damaja Hardy, 19 years old of Simpsonville, KY, and Kendrick Bixler, 19 years old of Lawrenceburg, KY, have each been charged with one count of Murder in connection to Thornton s death. Payne and Bixler are currently being lodged at the Franklin County Detention Center. Hardy is currently being lodged at the Shelby County Detention Center. There has also been a juvenile charged with one count of Murder in relation to the investigation.

An investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Christian Richards, 27, of Strong arrived at the school, became agitated with officials, who dialed 911. The Portland Press Herald reports Strong Elementary school was in lockdown. Police arrested and charged a local man, 27-year-old Christian Richards, who they say arrived at the school and became agitated with school officials, who called 911 and ordered the lockdown. The superintendent says Richards was banging on windows and trying to force his way inside the school. Richards was arrested and charged with two counts of terrorizing. He’s being held at Franklin County Detention Center and was set to appear before a judge on Friday.

Commissioners voted 3-0 on Tuesday not to be reimbursed for mileage related to county matters. Until 2019, commissioners were reimbursed for their mileage. Tuesday marked Commissioner Lance Harvell of Farmington’s first meeting in an official capacity. He succeeds Charles Webster of Farmington, who did not seek reelection.
