OZARK â A Russellville man died Wednesday when the tanker truck he was driving overturned and caught fire near Ozark on I-40.
James Rotenbury, 59, was killed when the tanker truck he was driving ran off the road after swerving to avoid a collision at the 35 mile marker on ramp.
Witnesses at the scene of the accident told police that an unknown vehicle entered I-40 from the on ramp and pulled out in front of the tanker truck, and the tanker truck tried to take a corrective action by swerving to the left, according to the Arkansas State Police report.
The truck ran off the roadway into the Northside ditch and overturned on the driverâs side.
