The Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station on Lake Erie is one of two nuclear power plants saved by a nuclear bailout in Ohio.
A Franklin County judge has granted a preliminary injunction that blocks the owner of Ohio s two nuclear power plants from collecting fees as part of HB6, the controversial bailout law at the center of a federal racketeering investigation.
At a hearing Monday, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Chris Brown granted a preliminary injunction to halt Energy Harbor, formerly known as FirstEnergy Solutions, from collecting increased fees from ratepayers. To not impose an injunction would be to allow certain parties to prevail, Brown said. It would give the O.K. that bribery is allowed in the state of Ohio and that any ill-gotten gains can be received.

Union recently passed âGoâ to join Washington and Sullivan as Franklin County cities with their own Monopoly-like board game.
Union-opoly is now available at Walmart in Union after being shipped Oct. 20. The game allows contestants to buy properties at local landmarks and businesses, and charge rent to those who land on them afterward.
The landing spots on Union-opoly range from the Franklin County Fair, which costs $70, to Downtown Union, the cityâs Boardwalk, which sets you back $425. In between, players pass school facilities like East Central College ($220) and Stierberger Stadium ($290), government buildings like the Franklin County Courthouse ($270) and city hall ($375), and local businesses like Andyâs Produce Too ($110) and Great Eight Cinema ($210).
