The Franklin County Public Health Department reported 15 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. With the new cases, and 90 residents recently deemed recovered, Franklin County’s total active case count stood at 119 on Tuesday. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced new state guidelines on Tuesday that allow people to leave quarantine after 10 days instead of 14 days without getting tested, as long as they don’t develop any symptoms. Though people will be allowed to leave quarantine after 10 days, they will still have to monitor themselves for symptoms for another four days, however. Those who develop symptoms after leaving quarantine should isolate themselves and contact their respective county health department for guidance, according to Cuomo’s office.
