The Franklin County Sheriffâs Office and the Franklin County Coronerâs Office are investigating the deaths of two people on Ryswick Lane in late January.
To date, their identities have not been released. Franklin County Coroner Will Harrod said the victims have been identified, but investigators have not been able to locate next-of-kin to make the necessary notifications.Â
In an email earlier this week, Harrod said autopsies have been completed on both people, but he did not release the results.
Harrod said his office was notified around 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, of two people deceased in a residence on Ryswick Lane, which is in the residential neighborhood off Country Lane in east Frankfort.
A fire in the heart of Grove City has claimed a life early Thursday morning.
Just before 3 a.m., Jackson Township firefighters were called to the 2700 block of Independence Way, near Hoover and Home roads, arriving just as flames were shooting through the roof, said Lynn Bruno, spokesman for the department.
As firefighters worked to battle the fire, they found one victim in the kitchen. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Franklin County Coroner s office didn t immediately return calls for the victim s name.
No information has been released about the victim or cause of the fire. It was unclear if the home had working smoke detectors, Bruno said.
Nearly a month after his death, a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a car while crossing Interstate 71 has been identified by Columbus police.

Police say Harper was attempting to cross the interstate s southbound lane, just south of Ohio Route 104, when a vehicle driven by 46-year-old James Puckett, 46, of Orient, Pickaway County, hit him.
