Franklin Templeton chooses investment strategist for new institute

Kim Catechis will join Franklin Templeton s newly launched investment institute as investment strategist, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new and effective April 1.
The institute is the $1.5 trillion firm s forum for investment insights and their application to strategies.

Stephen Dover, chief market strategist and head of the institute, Mr. Catechis will provide insights to existing and prospective clients, distribution staff and other stakeholders across all of Franklin Templeton affiliate firms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Franklin Templeton has launched its new Investment Institute.
It will serve as a center of excellence to harness the firm’s global investment expertise and extensive in-house research capabilities.
Stephen Dover, currently head of equities, has been named chief market strategist and head of the Investment Institute. Terrence Murphy, CEO of ClearBridge Investments, will take on an expanded leadership role as head of equities for Franklin Templeton.
