UMF to hold walk-in vaccine clinic May 8

The University of Maine at Farmington plans to host a public walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at 274 Front St. for individuals 18 and older. Vaccines are provided at no cost.
Details for those getting the vaccine:
• Everyone entering should wear a mask and be screened for symptoms. Once inside they’ll be given a hospital mask to wear.
• Bring a form of identification and an insurance card, though the latter is not required.
• Those getting vaccinated will need to wait 15 to 30 minutes after the shot before leaving; the entire process should take about 40 minutes.

FARMINGTON Franklin Memorial Hospital will hold a work party beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 1.
Volunteers are needed to rake harvested areas and pick up rocks and sticks prior to hydroseeding those areas with grass. Gloves and rakes should be brought. Social distancing and masks will be required.
