Man charged following Seaford car thefts
Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged a man following a series of car thefts in Seaford yesterday morning.
Officers were called to a Seaford business about 5.10am after it was reported three cars had been stolen.
Police located the first car abandoned in Carrum Downs and the second in Roden Court, Dandenong.
The third car was sighted by members of the public who performed a citizen’s arrest on the male passenger, before police arrived shortly after.
The female driver fled the scene and has yet to be located.
A 30-year-old Chadstone man was charged with three counts of theft of motor vehicle, committing an indictable offence while on bail and drug possession.

Frankston arrests
Officers were patrolling Hadley Street when they noticed the pair behaving erratically on the street about 11.40am.
Detectives spoke to the pair and a subsequent search of them and their vehicle located drugs, knives and a gel blaster with a laser pointer affixed to it.
Police then executed a search warrant at an address in Allawah Avenue, Frankston where they located and seized a quantity of drugs.
A 34-year-old Frankston man has been charged with drive whilst suspended, prohibited person possess imitation firearm, possess imitation firearm and other weapons offences.
He was remanded overnight to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court today.
