A man in his 50s was taken to The Alfred hospital with upper body injuries. He is in a serious condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.
A woman in her 70s was treated for a medical condition and taken to The Alfred in a stable condition.
Three women, one in her 40s, one in her 60s and one in her 70s, were taken to Dandenong Hospital. All were in a stable condition.
Northbound lanes on Frankston-Dandenong Road were closed to traffic at Quality Drive for about two hours.
‘Serious injuries’ for man struck by car
A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car last week.
At around 12.50am in the early hours of 18 April, a man was attempting to flag down cars on Frankston-Dandenong Road in Carrum Downs. Police say the man stepped in front of a red Holden Commodore travelling north along the road.
The 49-year-old man was struck by the car. A police statement read that he “sustained serious injuries” and was taken to hospital.
The driver behind the wheel of the Holden Commodore was an 18-year-old Dandenong North resident. He stopped and assisted at the scene of the incident.
