Heinrich Encourages Eligible New Mexicans To Apply For Broadband, Technology Assistance Through FCC Program From the Office of U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) is encouraging eligible New Mexicans and Tribal residents to apply for consumer discounts through the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit Program. “The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for families and students in New Mexico,” Heinrich said. “We must ensure all New Mexicans have access to broadband services and this FCC program is a great way to help eligible applicants pay for the services they need. I will continue fighting to ensure every family and child in New Mexico, no matter where they live or go to school, has the digital capabilities and resources they need to succeed in the 21st century.”

UW unit promotes emergency broadband benefit to assist Wyoming households with internet access

(Statewide, WY) – The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND), an academic unit of the University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences, has partnered with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help build consumer awareness about the emergency broadband benefit. This new FCC program will temporarily provide assistance to help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible Wyoming families needing internet access for critical services such as telehealth, remote education and other virtual professional services may be able to benefit from this program. Advertisement The $3.2 billion Emergency Broadband Benefit Program provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for qualifying households on qualifying tribal lands. Mediacom joins emergency broadband program for struggling customers

Special to the Press Gazette/USA TODAY NETWORK GULF BREEZE Mediacom Communications is participating in the federal government’s Emergency Broadband Benefit Program designed to help families and individuals struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The EBBP is a temporary program being administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It provides eligible new or current customers with up to $50 off their monthly internet service bill.
