The rider, from Bradford, and who has been named as Kiki/Keeks on social media, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later. It is the first time people from across West Yorkshire s five districts will be asked to vote for the newly created role. The position is part of the West Yorkshire Devolution Deal announced by Government in March 2020 - a deal that will see decisions on infrastructure, transport and skills spending made locally rather than in Westminster. The West Yorkshire Mayor will also take on the powers currently held by the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
