THE Broadway, Bradford has donated £3,500 to its charity partner, Bradford Nightstop. The organisation, which works to prevent youth homelessness and provide emergency accommodation, is a valuable support system for the region’s most vulnerable. The generous donation has been made by The Broadway to honour the partnership made in early 2020 which pledged to help raise funds throughout the year. Due to national and regional restrictions in reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic, fundraising events were unable to be held. Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, Bradford, said: “The Broadway is at the heart of the Bradford community and it is hugely important to us that we support local people and organisations.
BRADFORD City will celebrate the district s NHS heroes by dedicating their weekend match to the city hospital trust s Christmas campaign. The Bantams will dedicate their clash with Cambridge United at Valley Parade this Saturday to Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and its ‘Sparkle for Axl’ campaign. ‘Sparkle for Axl’ fund is providing additional specialist toys and games for children and young people - as well as the work Bradford Hospitals’ Charity does in supporting children in hospital and both running the Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospitals, the children’s ward at both these institutes and the NHS as a whole.
EACH member of the Bradford City first-team squad have bought gifts for children in Bradford hospitals this Christmas as part of an ongoing campaign. Bradford Hospitals Charity has set up an Amazon Wishlist for kindhearted people to buy items like toys for children who will have to spend the festive season in hospital in the district. Due to the pandemic, the charity cannot accept deliveries of toys in its hospitals as it normally would do. Huge thanks to all the first-team players @officialbantams for their generous donations! They will make such a difference to children in our hospitals this Christmas.
