Skipton man faces five firearms charges of possession of firearms and ammunition

A SKIPTON man is due to appear at magistrates court today charged with firearms offences. Kevin Harrison, 62, of Bowling Terrace, was arrested by North Yorkshire Police on Wednesday, January 20. He was further arrested by Counter Terrorism Policing North East following the discovery of potentially suspicious items . He is charged with five offences contrary to the Firearms Act 1968 relating to the possession of an electric stun gun disguised as a torch, possession of a firearm without a certificate, namely a Berloque pistol, and three offences of possessing varying types of ammunition without an appropriate certificate. He is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates Court today.

Fines handed to Bradford security businessmen for infringement of the Private Security Industry Act On Tuesday, 22 December 2020 four door supervisors - who were all former company directors - were prosecuted at Bradford Magistrates Court. From: 18 January 2021 They were charged with failing to supply information to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) despite repeated requests; this is a breach of the Private Security Industry Act (PSIA) 2001. Three security company directors - Basit Sultan, Muhammad Aslam and Usman Raees - failed to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on the appointed date. They were each fined £660 in their absence and required to pay costs of £300 and a victim surcharge of £66.
