Inquest into death of Heckmondwike man Bradley Gledhill further suspended

Bradley Gledhill AN inquest into the death of a young Heckmondwike man has been further suspended as a police investigation is still ongoing. Bradley Gledhill, 20, was wounded after a fight broke out late at night on Sunday, June 21, last year, in Park Croft, Batley. Mr Gledhill died later that night in hospital. Six people have been charged with murder as part of the investigation into his death.  During a very brief hearing held yesterday morning at Bradford Coroners’ Court, Assistant Coroner Angela Brocklehurst said she had been asked to mention the case of Mr Gledhill. She told the hearing that the police investigation was still ongoing and that a further suspension of the inquest into his death, which was formally opened by Assistant Coroner Katy Dickinson, on August 6 last year, was agreed for another 28 days.

The inquest was held at Bradford Coroners’ Court, located within the Magistrates Court building, pictured A “LOVING and kind” web designer told his family he loved them the night before taking his life, an inquest heard. Isaac Arbaab Lone, 27, who lived in Menston, was well thought-of by friends but the inquest at Bradford Coroners’ Court heard that he had been suffering long-standing mental health problems. Assistant coroner Oliver Longstaff said Mr Lone – who was formerly known as Mohammed Arbaab Amjad – was a “troubled soul” who had a “self-destructive streak… generated by feelings of low self-worth” and “insecurities about his own identity”.
