March Break moved to April

March Break is being postponed. Ontario’s Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced on Thursday the five-day break for students and teachers will take place the week of April 12. Lecce stressed the break is not cancelled, and the postponement is intended to keep schools safe. He added this change was made following advice from health officials. Back to school on Monday

This announcement came on Wednesday afternoon from Education Minister Stephen Lecce. Schooling has been fully online so far this year, following an extended Christmas break. New safety measures have been put in place for schools to prepare for the reopening, including masks being mandatory for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Locally, both boards have implemented further measures requiring masks for students in Kindergarten as well.
