Police identified the suspect as Eddie Epogon, 25, of Barangay San Jose.
Epogon had warrants of arrest for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and illegal possession of explosives and robbery with homicide issued by Judge Edwin Gomez of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 77 in Sipalay City and Judge Sue Lynn Lowie-Jolingan of the RTC Branch 53 here, respectively.
Police Major James Latayon Jr., city police chief, said policemen served Epogon the arrest warrants, but he reportedly opened fire at them, prompting police to retaliate and kill the suspect.
Latayon said Epogon succumbed to bullet wounds in the head and chest. Police recovered from him a .45 caliber.

+ February 20, 2021 POLICE personnel in Central Visayas are on alert and standby in their respective police stations to ensure a fast response to any eventualities with Typhoon Auring expected to affect Cebu province.
Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo, Director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 ordered his personnel to standby in their police stations and prepare their search and rescue equipment.
Police Colonel Aladdin Collado, Cebu Provincial Police chief, said he has alerted his subordinates including their cooperation with the crisis response section of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion to assist them in the deployment in the northern provinces of Cebu.

CEBU CITY – The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7) has been placed on alert due to the possible effects of tropical storm “Auring.”
Police Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, chief of PRO 7, has instructed police stations in the region to prepare their search and rescue equipment for any eventualities.
Police Col. Aladdin Collado, chief of the Cebu provincial police, said they have already coordinated with the crisis response section of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion for the deployment of personnel in northern Cebu which was expected to be affected by Auring Sunday.
“We already alerted most of the towns in the northern part of Cebu and in fact the whole province,” said Collado.

+ February 20, 2021 SOME P7 million worth of alleged smuggled cigarettes was confiscated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) during a raid in a major retail store in Guagua recently.
The BIR-Central Luzon enforcement team headed by Gene M. Bragais and Company Commander Captain Christopher Obien of the Regional Mobile Force Batallion 3, 302nd Maneuver of the Philippine National Police based in Lubao, Pampanga led the enforcement against Emydel Store at the Guagua Public Market and a fenced lot located at Pascual Village, Barangay Bancal also in Guagua.
