STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Authorities allege that a 44-year-old man gunned down a young father and shot at two other men in broad daylight last month in Stapleton.
Dudley was pronounced dead at Richmond University Hospital in West Brighton after police found him Feb. 20 with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a 2016 black Infiniti that had crashed into an unoccupied car on the 300 block of Van Duzer Street in Stapleton, authorities said.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Police have arrested a suspect in the February shooting death of a man on the North Shore, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea announced Friday night.
According to a tweet from Shea, authorities apprehended Arthur Williams in Syracuse Friday morning, and he’s since been transported back to the Island to face charges for his alleged killing of 26-year-old Latiff Dudley of Graniteville.
Shea credited detectives in the 120th Precinct and the Regional Fugitive Task Force, a partnership of more than 80 federal, state, or local agencies and five fully operational offices in the area around New York and New Jersey.

On February 17, 2021, the Maine State Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of 46-year-old Seth Carey of Rumford, Maine. Carey was arrested this afternoon in Orlando, Florida, and is currently being held at the Orange County Jail. This investigation began in March of 2018 when a 34-year-old female reported to the Rumford Police Department that she had been sexually assaulted by Carey.
Because Carey was a locally practicing attorney in the Rumford area, the local District Attorney’s Office (Prosecutorial District III) asked that the Maine State Police handle the investigation in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office from Hancock County. The Maine State Police worked cooperatively with the Rumford Police Department and the Hancock County District Attorney’s Office to bring a resolution to this complaint.

ORLANDO, Fla. A Maine man was arrested in Florida Tuesday afternoon on a warrant stemming from a three-year investigation.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South said in a release Tuesday that Seth Carey, 46, of Rumford had been under investigation since March 2018, when a 34-year-old woman reported to Rumford police that she had been sexually assaulted by Carey.
In 2018, Carey, who lost the 2018 general election for district attorney to incumbent Andrew Robinson, had his law license suspended for three years following the sexual misconduct allegations and after had a permanent protection order placed against him. The order barred him from having any contact with a woman, according to the Associated Press.
