NYPD commissioner says arrest made in February shooting slay on S.I.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Police have arrested a suspect in the February shooting death of a man on the North Shore, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea announced Friday night.
According to a tweet from Shea, authorities apprehended Arthur Williams in Syracuse Friday morning, and he’s since been transported back to the Island to face charges for his alleged killing of 26-year-old Latiff Dudley of Graniteville.
Shea credited detectives in the 120th Precinct and the Regional Fugitive Task Force, a partnership of more than 80 federal, state, or local agencies and five fully operational offices in the area around New York and New Jersey.

NEW YORK The father of a woman whose body was found in a Staten Island park last year has been extradited from the Middle East and charged with her murder.
Kabary Salem had been indicted in the murder of his daughter, Ola Salem, 25, by a Staten Island grand jury Nov. 5, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.
The NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked him down Dec. 3 in Egypt, and brought him back to New York on Friday, sources said.
Salem fled the U.S. immediately after his daughter’s body was discovered in October 2019 by a jogger in Bloomingdale Park, in the borough’s Prince Bay neighborhood.

The fully-clothed body had been dragged through the woods some 30 feet, then covered in leaves. A motive for the slaying has not been disclosed.
