State Government announces support package following circuit breaker New support has been announced for small businesses, including sole traders, most impacted by the coronavirus circuit-breaker action. The $143 million Circuit Breaker Support Package is expected to help more than 50,000 Victorian businesses, including restaurants, florists, confectioners, hairdressers, accommodation providers, musicians and performers. The package contains four initiatives targeted at businesses, including small and micro businesses. Details of the package can be seen below. The latest round of Victoria s regional travel vouchers have been snapped up within 20 minutes, as tens of thousands of Victorians rushed online to grab one of the free coupons. The second batch of 40,000 vouchers, which are redeemable for travel between January 27 and April 1, were made available on the Service Victoria website at 10am. After just 20 minutes of going live, the website advised the allocation had been exhausted. Victorians have snapped up all of the latest travel vouchers. Another 30,000 vouchers went in just 31 minutes today with no major website issues. The website issues on Friday, where an internal server error surfaced within 30 seconds of when the first Victorians attempted to log on to the website, meant people struggled to apply all day, until the coupon allocation became exhausted in the mid-evening. Heavy demand also saw the apply now button removed, as the website battled to cope with the onslaught of traffic. Business Victoria on Saturday said the additional 30,000 vouchers would be made available as a show of good faith following the website chaos.
