The photograph clicked at Major Shahid Sandeep Sagar Chowk (Sector 7-8-17-18 roundabout) in Panchkula shows a wrongly parked car. However, such a blatant violation of the traffic rules took place right under the CCTV cameras installed here. Moreover, a traffic policeman was also deployed on duty quite close to the spot. Sale of tobacco unabated
The Haryana Government has been issuing warnings against the use of tobacco in the interest of public health, but a number of vendors are still selling the products in and around the municipal areas. At least, the sale of tobacco for chillums and hookahs must not be allowed through licenced shops. Officials fine vehicles with bull bars

The Transport Department officials identified 35 vehicles which had bull bars, an illegal accessory, and fined the vehicle owners during a special drive against the use of bull bars, at the Chittampatti toll plaza here on Tuesday.
The Regional Transport Officers and motor vehicle inspectors were part of the team that identified vehicles with bull bars and fined the violators.
A senior Transport department official said that bull bars were removed from 33 vehicles on the spot.
A fine of ₹ 6,000 was collected on the spot from 12 owners. The remaining 23 owners were asked to pay a fine totalling to ₹ 11,500 at the RTOs.
