The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Jawon L. Ward, a resident of Englewood.
The woman, 44, was shot in the shoulder and back and was taken in good condition to the same hospital, police said.
In nonfatal attacks, a 17-year-old girl was shot early Sunday in Heart of Chicago on the Lower West Side.
The girl was riding in a vehicle about 12:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Cermak Road when two males exited a black vehicle and fired shots, police said. She was struck in the head and driven to Mt. Sinai Hospital where she was listed in fair condition, police said.
An 18-year-old man was fatally wounded, and at least three other people were injured in separate shootings since Friday evening on the West and South sides, Chicago police said.

Chicago Heights is mourning the loss of a police officer who died Friday morning, days after collapsing while responding to a domestic call.
Officer Gary Hibbs, a 25-year department veteran, died in the intensive care unit at Franciscan Health in
Olympia Fields, according to a statement from Mayor David Gonzalez and police Chief Thomas Rogers.
The afternoon of March 4, Hibbs answered a disturbance call of two people fighting inside a third-floor apartment on 14th Place, according to the statement. While trying to arrest one of the people involved, Hibbs fell to the ground unconscious and required medical assistance.
