There have been 650 new cases and 20 deaths in the city since yesterday. There are 473 people are in hospital.
Toronto’s seven-day moving average for new infections is 598 and the number of confirmed active cases in the city is 7,060.
To date, there have been 85,260 cases in Toronto, 75,825 of those have recovered and 2,375 people have died.
Today’s also count includes approximately 80 cases from a small backlog of records that are being cleared.

There s a very proud and happy moment for Khalsa Aid, a UK-based international non-profit organization recognized around the world for its great charitable work. It has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Canadian legislators by Canadian MP Tim Uppal, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, and Brampton South MPP Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria. They stated that Khalsa Aid recognized the Sikh principle of recognizing the entire human race as one.
Tim Uppal announced this news via tweet, where he also writes that Khalsa Assistance has been helping all those in need regardless of caste, faith, and boundaries, and they are motivated by the Sikh philosophy of Sarbat Da Bhalla, meaning well-being for all.

Brampton, one of Ontario s most consistent and troubling COVID-19 hotspots, will soon be able to offer residents access to a voluntary isolation centre for the first time during the pandemic.
The opening of the spaces is being hailed as both an important development in Brampton s pitched battle against the novel coronavirus, and a reminder of the lack of support for residents of the hard-hit city.
Sarah Kipp, an interim director of the local health services group WellFort, said the city s lack of voluntary isolation spaces so far has been a significant factor in Brampton s struggle to suppress the pandemic.
