An illegal house being demolished in Kasari Masari area PRAYAGRAJ: Continuing with their drive against the history-sheeters and those who have constructed houses without the approval of the maps from Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA), a team of PDA officials accompanied by heavy police force demolished houses of two close aides of jailed don and former MP Atiq Ahmad at Kasari Masari area on Saturday. Both aides of Atiq Ahmad have serious cases lodged against them in Prayagraj and Kaushambi districts, officials said. PDA Zonal Officer Alok Pandey said that the houses were constructed under Luqman and Sabu in 2,500 square feet area on 100 feet road at Kasari Masari. No map was sanctioned for the constructions and they were illegal.

The joint team first razed the house of Abid Pradhan, a key member of Atiq Ahmad’s gang, at Mariydeeh in the afternoon. The two-storey house was constructed illegally by Abid Pradhan on 600 square yards without getting the map sanctioned from the agency concerned. The huge house was estimated to be worth Rs 4 crore. The joint team reached Mariydeeh and started the demolition work while heavy deployment of police was made to tackle any untoward incident.

History-sheeter Ganesh Yadav’s house being demolished PRAYAGRAJ: A joint team of Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA), police and administrative officials demolished an illegal house owned by history-sheeter Ganesh Yadav in Jhunsi area of the city on Saturday. Yadav has dozens of cases registered against him in several police stations of the district including Jhunsi and Sarai Inayat. “The two-storey building was constructed on an area of around 700 square yard and the bungalow was around Rs 13-14 crore. This the 38th demolition drive undertaken by PDA,” said zonal officer Sat Shukla. “We have inputs that the land, on which the building was constructed could be illegal and have started a probe. If the land does not belong to Yadav, it would be reinstated to its actual owner. If the property belonged to Yadav, it could be attached under the provisions of Gangster Act,” said Shukla.

Prayagraj: Continuing its offensive against illegal properties owned by criminals and gangsters, a joint team of the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA), police and district administration pulled down the house owned and constructed by history-sheeter Farhan in Bamrauli road area of the city on Friday. Farhan is a key aide of mafia turned politician Atiq Ahmad, said the police. The team was accompanied by heavy police force along with para-military personnel and representatives of the district administration. The area was barricaded, and all routes leading to Farhan’s house was blocked before the drive was started. Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) zonal officer Sat Shukla told TOI that Farhan’s property was constructed on 700 sq feet and no map was sanctioned for it.
