Barry Feasel and Ben Skubish
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Bridgestone Americas Inc. has promoted Ben Skubish to general manager of the Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer Nationwide Network, succeeding Barry Feasel, who s retiring, effective Jan. 1.
Mr. Skubish was an independent tire, service and parts retailer in Boulder, Colo., before joining Bridgestone in 2019.
Mr. Feasel s retirement caps a 40-year industry career.
He started in 1980 with Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. as an assistant store manager in a Firestone retail store and went on to hold various sales and management positions with Firestone and then with Bridgestone following the Japanese tire maker s purchase of Firestone in 1988.
He has led the company s Affiliated Retailer Nationwide Network Program since 2002.
NASHVILLE Bridgestone Americas Inc. has launched the Bandag B123 FuelTech trailer retread, which the company said was designed to complement the Bridgestone R123 Ecopia tire in design and performance in an effort to help fleets reduce fuel cost.
Bridgestone said the rib design of the B123 is engineered to fight irregular wear and enable longer tread life for fleets.
The tire maker said using the Bandag B123 FuelTech retread and Bridgestone R123 Ecopia trailer tire together can reduce energy loss by 4.7% and optimize fuel efficiency. According to the tire maker, switching to the B123 FuelTech retread can save fleets up to $165,900 in fuel costs compared with competitors and depending on the price of fuel.
