52-year-old Jonathan Hindley, from Urmston, is a local DJ and Entertainment Director going by the stage name of Jonny Spangles. With the original lockdown Jonathan realised that there would be a very real need for social interaction, mental stimulus and help for the needy. So, he put all his experience and talent into creating community fundraising activities which would fulfil all those needs and support key workers. He hosted speed quizzes each week raising money for the most vulnerable in the community. He also held a socially-distanced open-air disco, live streamed across the world in horrendous weather conditions for three hours, raising over £2500.
The charity, which was launched five years ago, has so far saved 6,500 wheelchairs from landfill. The winners during the ceremony received video messages from celebrity supporters such as British Citizen Awards patron Bradley Walsh, and have also been extended an invitation to visit the House of Lords when safe to do so.

Danger lurks in the air we breathe on airplanes

Former British Airways Captain, Tristan Loraine asserts that 11 million people fly across the globe every day, oblivious to toxins (harmful substances) that lurk in aircraft cabin air.
In his most recent documentary feature Everybody Flies, Captain Tristan exposes the issue of contaminated air onboard aircrafts. And all its concomitant health risks, which includes cancer, infertility, neurological effects and complications to pregnancy (the unborn child).
The former British Airways Captain fell victim to toxic cabin air and consequently lost his career due to ill health. Captain Tristan who doubles as Co-chair of the Global Cabin Air Quality Executive ( GCAQE), the leading global entity on the issue of contaminated air; recently intimated his apprehensions in an interview with this writer.
