Cambridge updates students on safety measures during May/June 2021 exams By Cambridge assures students coronavirus SOPs will be followed during exams. Official says Cambridge working with government to ensure a smooth process. More than 80% of Cambridge students worldwide are taking their exams this year. Cambridge International Examinations on Thursday said that it wishes to tell schools, students, and parents that it is working closely with British Council and all COVID-19 safety measures will be strictly followed in all its exam centres across Pakistan. The development comes after the British Council Pakistan, earlier in the day, had assured Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood that all coronavirus standard operating procedures will be followed during the upcoming examinations.

To this end, the HEC and the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have signed a memorandum of agreement for 75 HEC scholars to pursue PhD degrees at the QMUL in the next five years. A virtual signing ceremony to this effect was organised by the British Council Pakistan in which HEC Executive Director Dr. Shaista Sohail and QMUL VicePrincipal, QMUL International Education Prof Colin Grant signed the agreement.

75 more Pakistanis to pursue PhD in London Islamabad March 5, 2021 Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) for 75 HEC scholars to pursue their PhD degrees from QMUL in the next five years. In this connection, the British Council Pakistan organised a virtual signing ceremony. Executive Director, HEC, Dr. Shaista Sohail and Vice Principal, International Education, QMUL, Prof. Colin Grant signed the agreement. HEC and QMUL have been co-funding PhD scholars since 2016, as the two sides signed the first Memorandum of Agreement in September 2016 to nurture a collaborative partnership to provide high quality research training to Pakistani PhD students at QMUL.
