Britain risks entrepreneur exodus with planned takeover crackdown, investors warn
New legislation going through the House of Commons will hand ministers fresh powers to review and block more deals

Tech investors have claimed an upcoming crackdown on foreign takeovers of British companies will cause entrepreneurs to flee the country.
The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Organisation (BVCA), which represents more than 700 UK-based funds, has written to MPs to voice concerns over proposed laws which it said could “reduce the appeal of the UK as a base for international early stage innovators, whose start-ups are much more mobile than more firmly established businesses”.
