Dear Patch readers, I wanted to share a few of my experiences in working and volunteering with Yumi Ross. Over the past 12 years, we have worked together on a number of initiatives and throughout all of these I’ve seen Yumi’s passion for Highland Park, her incredible work ethic and professionalism, and her strong sense of working towards the good of our community. We first met each other in 2009 when we were both served on D112 s Strategic Planning Team and then again on the five-year plan for our school district. A few years ago, we both joined the D113 Education Foundation where Yumi is currently the Co-President, and we ve been serving our high schools together ever since.
