Lenoir-Rhyne’s dream season will continue into the NCAA Division II Men’s national championship game the Bears’ first appearance in the final in program history.
Before Lenoir-Rhyne could book its ticket to Hartford, it had to get past South Atlantic Conference rival Wingate for a second time this season. Thanks to six goals and an assist from star attackman Eric Dickinson, the Bears pulled away for a comfortable 18-10 win over the Bulldogs in the NCAA semifinals.
Four different scorers helped Lenoir-Rhyne, playing at home in front of a raucous crowd, jump out to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Dickinson had two goals in the second quarter, a back-and-forth period that saw the Bears emerge with an 8-4 halftime lead.
3. Lindenwood wins its first Division II Women’s National Championship.
The Lions jumped out to a huge lead and held off a furious comeback from top-seeded Queens (N.C.) to take home the national title the westernmost women’s team to win an NCAA title.
4. Salisbury wins its first Division III Women’s National Championship since 2014.
The Sea Gulls met Tufts in the championship game Sunday, and Mary Claire Hisle s stop with 1:13 left sealed a 14-13 victory. Salisbury finishes the 2021 season at 20-0 with only four games decided by three or fewer goals.

The IMLCA announced its 2021 Hall of Fame class.

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee has announced the participants for the 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A total of 566 participants, 283 men and 283 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event. The championships will be held May 27-29 in Allendale, Michigan at the Grand Valley State Track & Field Stadium. Grand Valley State University and the West Michigan Sports Commission will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on
