Police lay assault charges at South Brisbane
Police have charged a 33-year-old man following an assault in South Brisbane during the early hours of this morning.
Around 1am it will be alleged the man and his friends became involved in a physical altercation with another group on Grey Street. During the altercation a 21-year-old man sustained minor stab wounds to his chest and right arm.
The group fled and were arrested on the Victoria Bridge a short time later.
The Boronia Heights man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for two lacerations to the arm and chest.

Tyre deflation devices had to be deployed to bring Kierin Charles Pitcher to a halt in Waterford West, near Logan, but he still persisted in fleeing from police after avoiding a collision. It had only been a week after Pitcher, 25, had been sentenced in the Supreme Court for a failed attempt to smuggle illegal drugs into a Brisbane immigration detention centre in November 2019.
