According to court documents, Dan is one of 11 people charged with the offence, while some have also been charged with money laundering.
Dan appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday. The alleged scheme is said to have been running since 2013 with illegal profits amounting $24 million AUD. 500 people are due to called as witnesses over the course of the trial.
