William Alan Shuck, 55, faced Brisbane District Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud that he committed while working as infrastructure operations manager for Queensland Racing between 2014 and 2015. The court heard that Shuck gave Wayne Francis Innes inside information about project budgets and forwarded competitors quotes so the businessman could secure work for his earthmoving business Landfill Logistics. Paedophile cops jail term for social media accounts

Crime by Kara Sonter Premium Content   A rapist and paedophile serving the remainder of a jail sentence in the community will return to the district court for allegedly breaching his sentence conditions. Reed Arthur John Davidson, 24, faced Caboolture Magistrates Court charged with failing to comply with reporting conditions imposed upon him following previous convictions. The court heard Davidson, of Deagon, was currently serving a three-year suspended sentence following conviction in Brisbane District Court on October 5, 2018. At the time, he pleaded guilty to four counts of rape, for which he was given the jail sentence. He had also pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent treatment of a child and was given 12 months jail for two of the offences and ordered to serve a 30-month probation order.

Women held hostage and assaulted over 24 hours

Dean Thomas Murray, 36, bragged to friends through text messages that his former partner could no longer hear because he had flogged her so hard and that he was going to burn them both alive, the Brisbane District Court was told. Prosecutor Russell Hood said in the lead up to his protracted assault, Murray sent his ex a photo of himself holding a kitchen knife, and other violent texts telling her he would bust the f k out of her and rape and torture her housemates.

Biggest in Qld : IT worker jailed over 1 5 million images

An IT worker who was caught with more than one million child abuse images has been jailed over the vile collection described as one of the biggest in the history of Queensland . Wynnum computer engineer Daryl Anthony Cook, 56, fronted Brisbane District Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing child exploitation material. The court heard that Queensland Police uncovered a gross amount of 1.5 million very disturbing child abuse images on two computers after searching Cook s Wynnum property on April 21, 2019. Crown prosecutor Brendan White described the material as some of the worst he had seen and said the sheer volume of images possessed was the largest he was aware of in Queensland.
