22nd Apr 2021 5:53 PM A jury has found former Block star Suzi Taylor and her co-accused Ali Ebrahimi not guilty of all charges after an escort date went horribly wrong. The pair were on trial in Brisbane District Court charged with extortion, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, fraud and attempted fraud. Both had pleaded not guilty to the charges. Ms Taylor (real name Suellen Jan Taylor) and her co-accused Ali Ebrahimi were on trial on five charges each of extortion, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, fraud and attempted fraud. On Thursday a jury deliberated for 9.5 hours before returning the verdict.

Reality TV star Suzi Taylor and her co-accused Ali Ebrahimi have today been found not guilty in their extortion trial.
Ms Taylor, 50, and Mr Ebrahimi were accused of holding a man hostage, assaulting and demanding money from him.
They were both found not guilty in Brisbane District Court.

The former contestant on The Block was accused of holding David Butler against his will for hours, tying him up and bashing him at a Newfarm apartment in 2019, after he refused to pay Ms Taylor for escort services.
