Message : By Jeffrey T. Lewis SAO PAULO Brazil s industrial production fell in February from the previous month, the first decline in 10 months, as output of motor vehicles dropped sharply. Production fell a seasonally adjusted 0.7% in February from January and rose 0.4% from a year earlier, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, or IBGE, said Thursday. In January, production rose 0.4% in the month and grew a revised 2.3% from a year earlier. Production jumped higher in May and June of last year as businesses reopened amid the easing of social distancing measures, and continued to rise through January, though at a gradually slower pace. The recovery was aided by monthly emergency aid payments to Brazil s poorest residents, which boosted demand, but those payments were cut in half starting in September and the program ended in December.

Driving a tractor on a farm, leading employees across different functions, directing and being responsible for sales and risk management. When you imagine it, I bet you may be thinking that men do these kinds of jobs. While men are still the majority for leaders in agriculture in Brazil, research developed by Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE/2017) has proven that women are conquering their space. For every 10 farmers, two are female. In Brazil, young female farmers are building a more successful agribusiness, including technology and innovation in the field.
