Journalist and author Glenn Greenwald says Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has “created chaos” by continuing to deny the severity of COVID-19 in the country.
Cities across Brazil have been hit hard by a new surge of COVID-19 with the country accounting for almost one in every four COVID related deaths on the planet.
“President Bolsonaro continues to be in denial, saying there’s no reason to even have the vaccine, it’s not worth the money to buy it, encouraging people to continue to leave their houses, even with this variant spreading,” Mr Greenwald said.
