The Brazilian government on Wednesday said that it was negotiating with countries including India to buy 30 million doses of coronavirus vaccines.
The announcement comes after Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India for exporting vaccines to Brazil.

Until now, only Oxford/AstraZeneca s and China s CoronaVac have been given approval in the country.
But, the Brazilian health ministry said on Wednesday that it is meeting Indian and Russian representatives on Wednesday to secure a deal to grant emergency authorisation to Russia s Sputnik V and India s Covaxin.

Brasilia, Feb 4 : Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro met the new presidents of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, and of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, to present his ideas on healthcare, economic recovery and state reform, to be debated in Congress.
Lira, from the Progressive Party, and Pacheco, from the Democrats Party, were elected by their peers on Monday, both with Bolsonaro s support, reports Xinhua news agency.
