Cuban FM lashed out at Bolsonaro s misogyny and negligence
Havana, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Friday disqualified Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and his way of leading the South American country. It is regrettable and worrying that a country like Brazil is led by a president who uses slander, misogyny, racism and negligence in his statements and speeches, Bruno tweeted.
Previously, the Cuban Foreign Ministry and some specialists from different parts of the world have lashed out at Bolsonaro s arrogance and carelessness when dealing with Brazil s core issues, including the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Brussels, Dec 18 : A host of European leaders were self-quaranting after coming in contact with French President Emmanuel Macron who has tested positive the novel coronavirus.
In a statement on Thursday, the Elysee Palace confirmed the 42-year-old President’s positive result, saying that he “will isolate himself for seven days” but “will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely”, Xinhua news agency reported.
Macron attended a European Union (EU) summit in Brussels last week and an event organised by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on Monday.

The Philippines could secure between four to 25 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from Moderna Inc and Arcturus Therapeutics Holdings Inc, the Southeast Asia country s ambassador to Washington said on Friday.
The Southeast Asian nation plans to buy doses from China s Sinovac Biotech and AstraZeneca but missed out on purchasing the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine.

The U.S. blew past records for daily new Covid-19 cases and virus deaths on Wednesday, as the national crisis continues to worsen. More than 247,000 new infections and more than 3,600 Covid deaths were reported on Wednesday, according to Johns Hopkins University data, the highest single-day tallies yet. A record 113,000 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, according to The Atlantic s COVID Tracking Project. The new and disheartening highs come at the same time the U.S. is beginning a vaccine rollout.
The U.S. is recording at least 215,729 new Covid-19 cases and at least 2,570 virus-related deaths each day, based on a seven-day average calculated by CNBC using Johns Hopkins University data.
