Banco do Brasil to take free Wi-Fi to up to 500 municipalities Monday 26 April 2021 | 16:06 CET | News Banco do Brasil announced that up to 500 municipalities in the countryside will receive free high-speed internet access points, under a partnership with Brazil s Ministry of Communications for the expansion of the Wi-Fi Brasil Program. This will increase to around 3,500 the number of cities served by the programme, reports Agencia Brasil. The internet points, which will be connected via satellite link in locations without fibre optic access, will be sponsored by Banco do Brasil and will be located near correspondent banks.
