BRAZOS COUNTY, TX â On Feb 24, the Brazos County Health District received notification from the Texas Department of State Health Services that four cases of the COVID-19 UK variant have been identified in Brazos County.
According to the news release, all four cases have experienced mild symptoms with no required hospitalizations.
So what does this mean for Brazos Valley?
According to the CDC, viruses constantly mutate, and variants are expected to occur over time. The COVID-19 variants appear to spread more easily and quickly. However, the antibodies generated through the available vaccine appear to recognize the variants.
