Everyone in the pro-life community has known for decades that Margaret Sanger was a racist. She believed in eugenics. She believed that only the “fit” should be breeding and that family size should be limited. Sanger particularly targeted the black population through her “Negro Project,” calling African Americans “reckless breeders” and “human weeds.”
Since the late 1980s, you would have had to work hard to avoid John Hawkes at the movies. He starred alongside Keanu Reeves, Mr T and the Butthole Surfers in Alex Winterâs directorial debut, Freaked. He worked with Quentin Tarantino on From Dusk âtil Dawn and Jackie Chan in Rush Hour. He was part of the SAG nominated ensemble cast of Ridley Scottâs American Gangster and was a grief-stricken informant for Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx in Michael Mannâs big-screen 2008 reboot of Miami Vice. He was George Clooneyâs lovelorn, ill-fated crewmate in The Perfect Storm.
That part was typical of much of Hawkesâ early career as a character actor. He has jokingly claimed that heâll call his memoir after his early roles: âI Canât Find Love and I Always Die.â

Several pro-life organizations were recently awarded for their work in changing the culture for life.
The National Prayer Luncheon for Life (NPLL), held in Dallas, honored three pro-life organizations. Event spokeswoman Karen Garnett tells One News Now the first-place award of $50,000 was handed to Students for Life. They have already trained 120,000 young people as pro-life advocates and indicated that this grant will help them train many, many more thousands of young people in pro-life advocacy and just to be able to counter the Planned Parenthood abortion culture message, Garnett reports.
