Crescent City Harbor District officials refuted claims they planned to move residents out of Bayside RV Park to make way for a $2 million-$2.5 million beautification project.
Facing angry residents who accused him and Harbor District commissioners of putting veterans and single mothers on the street, CEO Tim Petrick said the project would bring a higher quality of clientele to the parks and improve its quality.

What began as a question of who controls a meeting agenda turned into something Crescent City Harbor District Board President Brian Stone said he wanted to avoid political theater.
The question came from Harbor Commissioner Harry Adams, who two weeks ago accused Stone and his colleague Wes White of forcing him to change the venue for a June 24 chamber mixer promoting his charter boat business, Stella’s Adventures.

It’ll be a more low-key affair than initially described, but Crescent City Harbor commissioners hope a July 2 concert will lead to bigger things.
In fact, one of the newest commissioners, Harry Adams, says he’s planning for a reggae concert on July 21. Mike Schmidt’s event kicking off Independence Day weekend near his restaurant, Schmidt’s House of Jambalaya, “is getting our feet wet,” Adams told his colleagues Tuesday.
“I wouldn’t mind it in the future of the harbor benefitting from these,” Adams said, adding that the Reggae artist he spoke with approached him about performing at the harbor. “It can grow, but it’s got to start somewhere before it can grow.”
