Been watching/covering the Dallas Mavericks since
1980 and last Sunday’s first half in Los Angeles was the best 24 minutes of basketball they’ve played.
Sure, the Clippers were minus Kawhi Leonard, but the Mavs maxed out their energy and execution for every second of the half. They played 10 players, each of whom produced a plus-minus of +20 or better. Only game that comes close to the 50-point halftime lead was a 2003 playoff game in which they scored 84 points in the first half of a rout of the Sacramento Kings.

It was their sixth loss in seven games, a streak that began on Oct. 19, a week after they defeated the Giants but lost quarterback Dak Prescott for the season with an ankle injury. The Cowboys failed to score more than 19 points in every one of those six losses. Their record was 3-9 and fan and media speculation in Dallas centered more on the team s potential first-round draft choice than its playoff hopes.

Offense for the Arizona Cardinals was supposed to be special this season, and there are times when indeed it has been.
Many of the times it has qualified, it s been because of the strength and size of the hands of DeAndre Hopkins, clutching a pass that many others would drop – like, for instance, Sunday s game-winning touchdown catch against the Eagles at State Farm Stadium, a 33-26 win the Cardinals had to have.
This storm follows last week s nor easter that made its way through the northeast and dumped as much as six inches of snow in the Philadelphia region.
A weak front could bring passing showers to the Interstate 95 corridor Sunday into Monday with light snow in Pennsylvania, the Washington Post reported. Then temperatures could rise on Christmas Eve morning across the northeast before they fall dramatically with a strong Arctic cold front that could bring snow on Christmas morning.
Predictions account for a temperature drop of 15 to 20 degrees between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The National Weather Service forecasted that snow may make its way to Philadelphia Sunday, Dec. 20 and Monday, Dec. 21 though amounts will be low and no accumulation is expected.
