Joseph John Martucci, loved teaching, animals

March 14, 2021 Joseph John Martucci, 69, died peacefully in Philadelphia, Pa.., with his children by his side Thursday, March 11, 2021. He succumbed to a short battle with cancer. Joseph was born Feb. 22, 1952, in Philadelphia to Joseph and Helen Martucci (née O’Brien). He was a graduate of Father Judge High School, Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in English, and St. Joseph’s University with a master’s degree in organizational development. Most recently, he lived in Ellendale.  Joe leaves behind his two children, son Philip (husband David Heulitt) and daughter Marisa Codi; and two grandchildren, Mia Belle and Ella Mae Codi. He also leaves behind his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Carolann Martucci; his mother Helen; and brother Daniel Martucci.

Ryan Holmes, associate vice president for the Division of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, University of Miami Holmes is an accomplished educator and leader in identifying and managing the complex trends in student campus life and higher education. He joined the Division of Student Affairs as the associate vice president and Dean of Students in 2017 and oversees judicial affairs, Greek affairs, campus chaplains, crisis management, and student-community relations. Holmes holds a doctorate in educational leadership and administration from the University of Texas at El Paso, a master’s degree in counseling and personnel services from the University of Maryland-College Park, and a master’s degree in bilingual/bicultural studies from La Salle University.
