The Coca-Cola Foundation (global) is donating $400,000 (P20 million) to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to help expedite vaccine distribution around the country.
The grant is part of a $20 million total global fund of the world’s leading beverage compay to support nonprofit partners working to stop the spread of COVID-19 through vaccine distribution, personal protective equipment, and public awareness efforts.
The grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation will be used in establishing PRC-operated Bakuna Centers, supporting local government unit-operated centers with manpower, deploying PRC COVID-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinics.

As a solution to the challenges in the education sector and issues on education quality among Filipino learners, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is eyeing to bring down the cost of its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing to pave the way for the gradual resumption of face-to-face classes.

PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon on Friday, July 9, said that offering cheaper COVID-19 testing will help to slowly open up schools that have been shut down at the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.
