Coming off from its successful series debut last November, Netflix has announced that production on the upcoming second season of Darren Star’s comedy-drama series
Emily in Paris has officially begun in Paris, St. Tropez, and other locations in France. The announcement also came with the release of a new video which you can check out below, featuring the main cast as they share their excitement for Season 2.
According to the streamer, the Lily Collins-led dramedy was its most popular comedy series of 2020 with 58 million households worldwide watching in its first 28 days. The first season of
Emily in Paris also earned its first two Golden Globe nominations including Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, and Best Actress – Television Series, Musical or Comedy for Lily Collins.

Emily in Paris will officially return for season 2 after months of teasing from
Lily Collins and the rest of the cast about what is in store for the new episodes.
Netflix announced the renewal on November 11. “Deux is better than un,” Collins wrote via Instagram after the news broke. “I’m freaking out and beyond thrilled (much to Sylvie’s dismay) to announce @EmilyinParis will be returning for Season 2! Thank you guys for the love and support and I hope you’re as excited as we are!!”

Star Lily Collins gathered her castmates to tease a taste of the Netflix hit via a cute Instagram video on Monday.
