Sipalay City, 17 villages declare CPP-NPA-NDF as Persona Non Grata

ILOILO CITY, Feb. 15 (PIA) – The local government of Sipalay City in Negros Occidental and all its barangays strongly denounced the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF). According to 15th Infantry Battalion Civil Military Office (CMO) head Weann Sandag, the Siplay City local government and all its 17 barangays have respectively passed a resolution declaring the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members as “Persona Non Grata” in their area. The move is in support to the implementation of Executive Order 70 of President Rodrigo R. Duterte which aims to end local communist armed conflict. The declaration of the CTGs as persona non grata is the city and barangay’s way of showing their commitment in preventing and removing the spear of the terrorist’s influence in their respective communities, Sandag said.
