ILOILO CITY, Feb. 15 (PIA) – The local government of Sipalay City in Negros Occidental and all its barangays strongly denounced the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).
According to 15th Infantry Battalion Civil Military Office (CMO) head Weann Sandag, the Siplay City local government and all its 17 barangays have respectively passed a resolution declaring the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members as “Persona Non Grata” in their area.
The move is in support to the implementation of Executive Order 70 of President Rodrigo R. Duterte which aims to end local communist armed conflict.
The declaration of the CTGs as persona non grata is the city and barangay’s way of showing their commitment in preventing and removing the spear of the terrorist’s influence in their respective communities, Sandag said.
During an activity facilitated by the Philippine Army, the 17 barangays of Negros Occidental's Sipalay City passed a resolution declaring the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front persona non grata in their areas.

DILG Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said the CPP statement which sets conditions from the government to spare the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines is not sincere in ensuring the safety of the people which it has been claiming to serve.
“The CPP should prioritize the country’s well-being before their selfish ideological interests and should not impose any conditions for the benefit of the people’ in the midst of the pandemic,” said Malaya.
