Police are appealing for public assistance after a carjacking in Sydney’s north-west yesterday.
About 3.00pm (Tuesday 26 January 2021), officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command responded to reports of a carjacking at Seven Hills.
Police were told a man was sitting in his vehicle in Rowley Street, opposite a shopping centre, when he was approached by another man.
The man was told to get out of his car, which he refused to do. The other man then allegedly produced a knife, before punching the man in the face repeatedly.
The man was dragged from the vehicle, a red BMW convertible, registration number DJH31L, which was driven away by the other man. The injured man was taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment on a facial laceration.

Police charge two after assault, harassment on train at Blacktown
Two men have been charged after a man was allegedly assaulted at a railway station and passengers were harassed on a train overnight.
Just before 11.30pm (Tuesday 12 January 2021), a 22-year-old man was at Redfern Railway Station when he was approached by two men.
Police have been told one of the men performed a number of sexual acts and punched him in the face, before the pair boarded a westbound train.
Just after midnight (Wednesday 13 January 2021), officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command were called to Blacktown Railway Station, following reports two men were behaving inappropriately towards a group of passengers on a train travelling from Gordon to Penrith.
