SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA (WECT) - Seven people were arrested after saturation patrols by the Tri-County Task Force in Bladen and Columbus counties on Jan. 29.
“The patrols targeted community complaint areas for narcotics, traffic violations, and areas of recent thefts,” the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “The saturation patrol total findings were: seven arrests, 27 traffic, and misdemeanor narcotics citations, 32 verbal warnings, 21 warrants served. Drugs seized were methamphetamine and cocaine along with two firearms.”

ELIZABETHTOWN Three Bladen County commissioners have reponded in writing to an agenda item removed prior to the Jan. 19 meeting.
The item was a public hearing for the purpose of naming a bridge in honor of a firefighter killed in the line of duy, the late Ron Allen Jr.

BLADENBORO, N.C. (WECT) - A man is accused of crashing into a deputyâs vehicle while trying to evade law enforcement last week, according to Bladen County Sheriffâs Office.
Officials say that deputies in the area of Ronald Britt Road saw a vehicle leave a house, which had been reported by the community as selling narcotics. When deputies attempted to perform a vehicle stop, the driver allegedly accelerated.

BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - One person was arrested and one is wanted on drug-related charges following a raid at a home in Bladen County Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release, narcotics agents with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Sand Pit Road north of Elizabethtown.
During the search of the residence, an undisclosed amount of cocaine was seized along with drug paraphernalia that included baggies used to package cocaine and scales used to weigh cocaine.
