BLAIRSVILLE-SALTSBURG SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES NEW DATE FOR HEARING ON POSSIBLE SALTSBURG MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL CLOSURE

Indiana, PA / WDAD AM1450 & 100.3FM Dec 16, 2020 9:00 PM On Wednesday night, the Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board approved a new date for the Section 7-780 hearing concerning the possible closure of the Saltsburg Middle-High School, and the format in which it will be held. The board approved the hearing will be held on January 13th and, if necessary, the 14th starting at 5:30 at the Saltsburg Middle-High School Complex.  The main reason for the re-scheduling was Governor Tom Wolf’s recent order reducing indoor gatherings to 10 people or less.  Board president Rick Harper said that most of the people inside will be some board members, the hearing officer and a stenographer.  He added that people can still submit testimony in person and detailed how it would be done.
